INSTRUCTIONS: PENNSYLVANIA EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE (Form REV-1220)

Pennsylvania purchases of tangible personal property which are eligible for exemption from payment of state or local sales and use tax, as well as those exempt from public transportation assistance taxes and fees and vehicle rental taxes, can be documented with a form REV-1220. This form must be completed by the purchaser and filed with the seller within 60 days of any such transaction. The document is found on the portal website maintained by the state of Pennsylvania which houses government forms.
