INSTRUCTIONS: MONTANA NOTICE TO CREDITORS

In Montana estate cases where the personal representative of the estate is required to publish notification in newspapers to inform creditors that they should present their claims to the estate, the notice discussed in this article is used as the template for the notice to be published. This document can be obtained from the website maintained by the Montana Courts system.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 1: Enter your name on the first blank line.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 2: Enter your street address on the second blank line.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 3: Enter your city, state and zip code on the third blank line.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 4: Enter your phone number, including the area code, on the fourth blank line.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 5: Enter the number of the district in which your county is located on the fifth blank line.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 6: Enter the name of your county on the sixth blank line.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 7: Enter the name of the deceased on the seventh blank line.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 8: Enter the probate case number to the right of the seventh blank line where indicated.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 9: On the eighth blank line, enter the name of the personal representative.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 10: On the ninth blank line, enter the address to which correspondence to the personal representative should be sent.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 11: On the tenth blank line, enter the date of the day.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 12: On the eleventh blank line, enter the month.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 13: On the twelfth blank line, enter the last two digits of the year.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 14: On the thirteenth blank line, enter your signature.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 15: On the fourteenth blank line, enter your address.

Montana Notice To Creditors Step 16: This notice should be published once a week for three successive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the county in question. This notice will give creditors four months to present their claims within the date of the first publication. Failure to publish this notice will result in the personal representative being forever barred.
