INSTRUCTIONS: MICHIGAN INVENTORY (Form PC 577)
The form discussed in this article is filed to document the assets of a Michigan estate. However, this document cannot be filed by a conservator, who must use form PC 674 instead. Both forms can be obtained from the website maintained by the Michigan Courts system.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 1: Check the box where indicated if this is an amended return.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 2: Enter the file number where indicated.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 3: On the first blank line, enter the name of the person whose estate is being inventoried.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 4: On the second blank line, print or type your name.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 5: On the third blank line, enter your title.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 6: Check the first box if the inventory and fair market values are complete and accurate as of the date of death of the decedent.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 7: Check the second box if the inventory and fair market values are complete and accurate as of the date of qualification of the fiduciary.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 8: In the table provided below, provide a description of personal property and real property in the first column.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 9: In the second column, enter the total value of each piece of property.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 10: Enter the total value of all assets at the bottom of the table.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 11: On the next blank line, enter the date.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 12: On the next blank line, your attorney should enter their signature.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 13: On the next blank line, type or print the name of your attorney and enter their bar number.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 14: On the next blank line, enter the street address of your attorney.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 15: On the next blank line, enter the city, state, zip code and telephone number of your attorney.
Michigan Inventory PC 577 Step 16: On the last four blank lines, enter your signature, type or print your name, and enter your street address, city, state, zip code and telephone number, including the area code.
