INSTRUCTIONS: MARYLAND TRANSFER, SALE OR DISPOSAL OF ALL TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY (Form AT3-45)
Maryland businesses which sell all of their tangible personal property assets must file a form AT3-45 with the state Department of Assessments & Taxation (DAT). This form AT3-45 is available on their website.
Maryland Transfer, Sale Or Disposal Of All Tangible Personal Property AT3-45 Step 1: Line one asks for the name of the business selling the property as registered on DAT records.
Maryland Transfer, Sale Or Disposal Of All Tangible Personal Property AT3-45 Step 2: Line two asks you to indicate with a check mark whether your business is a corporation, LLC, LLP, LP, business trust, general partnership or sole proprietorship. Give the ID number issued by the DAT, the federal ID number, the federal principal business code number and the phone number. Give the address where the property was located prior to sale, disposal or transfer on line three. On line four, describe the nature of the business.
Maryland Transfer, Sale Or Disposal Of All Tangible Personal Property AT3-45 Step 3: On line five, give the name of the purchasing business as registered with the DAT. On line 6, provide the same information about the buyer as provided about your company on line two.
Maryland Transfer, Sale Or Disposal Of All Tangible Personal Property AT3-45 Step 4: On line seven, give the mailing address of the purchaser. On line eight, give the address where the property is now located. On line nine, describe the type of business conducted by the purchaser. On line 10, give the date of the transaction.
Maryland Transfer, Sale Or Disposal Of All Tangible Personal Property AT3-45 Step 5: On line 11, describe the manner of transaction. On line 12, detail the portion of the purchase related to furniture, fixtures and equipment, the portion related to inventory, and the portion related to any other property. Describe the property in question on line 13.
Maryland Transfer, Sale Or Disposal Of All Tangible Personal Property AT3-45 Step 6: On page two, give the name of your personal property account, the date your business was closed, and provide all other information about the closing of your business requested.
Maryland Transfer, Sale Or Disposal Of All Tangible Personal Property AT3-45 Step 7: Either the buyer or seller must complete and sign page one. The business owner should complete and sign page two.
