In every Iowa transaction of real estate, a declaration of value must be completed by the buyer, seller or either party's agent. This form 57006a must be filed with your county recorder when the, contract, instrument or other record of the transaction is presented for recording. The form is found on the official website of the state of Iowa.

Iowa Real Estate Transfer - Declaration Of Value 57006a Step 5: The next section requires you to indicate with a check mark whether the sale took the form of a fulfillment of a contract from a previous year, a sale to or by an exempt organization, an auction sale, a sale between related parties or family members, a purchase of adjoining land, a transfer of partial interest, a quit claim deed, or a forfeiture or other type of forced sale.
