INSTRUCTIONS: CONNECTICUT 2011 DECLARATION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY
Connecticut business owners, as well as owners of manufactured mobile homes, will be required to complete a declaration of personal property. This form is available on the website of the city of Stafford and many other Connecticut government websites.
Connecticut 2011 Declaration Of Personal Property Step 1: The first page contains an affidavit to be completed only by those who have previously filed these declarations but have since sold their business or property or closed their business.
Connecticut 2011 Declaration Of Personal Property Step 2: The second page consists of instructions on how to fill out this form. The third page requests information about your business and should only be completed by business owners. Give all information requested about the nature of your business, the number of employees, and all other requested data. Note that if you are leasing property to others, you must complete the lessor's listing report on page four. If you are leasing property from others, you must complete the lessee's listing report, also on page four.
Connecticut 2011 Declaration Of Personal Property Step 3: The fourth page contains the reports listed above. If a lessor, give a description of all property, the name and address of the person who is leasing it, and all other listed information.
Connecticut 2011 Declaration Of Personal Property Step 4: Beneath this is the lessee's report. Detail how much you pay in rent, describe the property and provide all other information requested.
Connecticut 2011 Declaration Of Personal Property Step 5: The top of page five requires you to detail all property you have sold, disposed of or transferred within the last year declared on your previous year's filing.
Connecticut 2011 Declaration Of Personal Property Step 6: The bottom of page five and all of page six requires you to detail all property purchased on October 1, 2005 or later in the categories as stipulated. Perform the calculations as instructed to determine their depreciated value.
Connecticut 2011 Declaration Of Personal Property Step 7: Transfer all depreciated values from pages five and six to page seven. Note all exemptions at the bottom of the page and subtract these from your total property assessment to determine its net value.
Connecticut 2011 Declaration Of Personal Property Step 8: Sign the last page. If a registered agent does this, their signature must be witnessed by a licensed official.
