INSTRUCTIONS: WYOMING CHILD SUPPORT COMPUTATION FORM (Form DWCP12)

In Wyoming family court cases that concern the support of minor children, both parents may be required to submit a worksheet calculating how much each should be required to pay in child support. This article discusses this form DWCP12, which is found on the website of the Wyoming state courts system.

Wyoming Child Support Computation Form DWCP12 Step 1: Section A is for use in cases where one parent has primary custody. On line one, enter the mother's net monthly income.

Wyoming Child Support Computation Form DWCP12 Step 2: On line two, enter the father's net monthly income.

Wyoming Child Support Computation Form DWCP12 Step 3: On line three, combine lines one and two to calculate the combined net monthly income.

Wyoming Child Support Computation Form DWCP12 Step 4: Use the tables provided on page one of this document to determine the basic joint support obligation for both parents on line four.

Wyoming Child Support Computation Form DWCP12 Step 5: Divide line one by the product of lines three and four to determine the mother's proportionate share on line five. Divide line two by the product of lines three and four to do the same for the father on line six.

Wyoming Child Support Computation Form DWCP12 Step 6: Section B is for the use of parents if both spend at least 40% of the year with overnight custody of the children and both contribute substantially to child expenses beyond support plans. On line seven, note what percent of the year the children will spend with each parent.
