INSTRUCTIONS: CALIFORNIA ORDER APPOINTING TEMPORARY GUARDIAN (Form GC-140)
The document discussed in this article is used to appoint a temporary guardian in California. This form can be found on the website maintained by the California Judicial Branch. This appointment will not be effective until letters of temporary guardianship have been issued.
California Order Appointing Temporary Guardian GC-140 Step 1: In the first blank box, enter the name of your attorney, their state bar number, address and telephone number. If not represented by an attorney, enter your name, address and telephone number. In either instance, entering an email address or fax number is optional.
