INSTRUCTIONS: CALIFORNIA INVENTORY AND APPRAISAL ATTACHMENT (Form DE-161/GC-041)
When filing a California inventory and appraisal for an estate, the form discussed in this article is used as an attachment when additional space is required to document the property in question. Note that if filing for a decedent's estate, this attachment must conform to Probate Code section 8850(c) with regards to community and separate property. This form can be obtained from the website maintained by the California Judicial Branch.

Each attachment filed must be in conformance with the format approved by the Judicial Council. When filing this form, be sure to note with a check mark whether you are filing a final, partial, supplemental or corrected form, one documenting a reappraisal for sale or one documenting a property tax certificate. This form must include an appraisal from a representative, guardian or conservator, as well as a total appraisal from a referee.
