INSTRUCTIONS: APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY FOR AN LLC GA 241
This form allows an out-of-state or foreign corporation currently in existence to establish an office in the state of Georgia. The form is fairly straightforward, but a limited liability company is still encouraged to hire an attorney.
“Application for Certificate of Authority for an LLC GA 241 Step 1”
The filing party should provide their email address at the top of this form. The Secretary of State will inform the party when the application has been received.
“Application for Certificate of Authority for an LLC GA 241 Step 2”
Provide the name of the limited liability company in part one. If they’ve reserved their name in the state of Georgia, provide a name reservation number as well. Also, state the date when business commenced or was proposed in the state of Georgia. If the date is more than 30 days to the date the application reach the Secretary of State, the LLC will have to pay a $500 fine.
