INSTRUCTIONS: ARKANSAS REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME FOR FILING INCOME TAX RETURNS (Form AR1055)
Arkansas residents who are unable to file their state income tax returns by the due date may file a request for an additional 180 days to file their tax return. Payment for the balance of taxes due must be submitted at this time to avoid a penalty for failure to file a return. Those who have applied for and been granted a federal tax return extension are not required to submit this form AR1055. Their federal extension will be honored by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.
